What is Omega Session Clock Indicator?
Omega Session Clock is a MetaTrader 5 chart indicator built for intraday market timing and session analysis. It tracks the Asia London and New York sessions using broker server time and measures historical session range Initial Balance breaks ORB performance London reversals and weekday behavior.
It also integrates the MT5 economic calendar to display upcoming high impact events and historical price reactions.
Key Features of Omega Session Clock Indicator
Asia London and New York Sessions
The indicator tracks the three major intraday sessions and displays their current status range and remaining time directly on the chart.
Session Range Statistics
Historical average and maximum session ranges are calculated from the selected analysis period. This provides a statistical reference for how much movement a session normally produces.
Initial Balance Break Probability
The dashboard shows overall upside and downside Initial Balance break probabilities for each session.
ORB Win Rate
Historical ORB win rate and sample size are displayed for each session, allowing the current session setup to be compared with previous occurrences.
London Reversal Statistics
The indicator tracks how often London sweeps the Asia high or low and then returns inside that level.
Live Session State
The dashboard shows the current session, broker server time, percentage of the average range already used, IB status, ORB status, and time remaining until the session closes.
Economic Calendar Integration
Omega Session Clock uses the economic calendar built directly into MetaTrader 5 rather than relying on external news feeds or website scraping.
Historical News Reaction
For upcoming events the indicator can display average move, maximum move, percentage of upward reactions, and sample size based on previous releases of the same event.
Session Score Dashboard
A single 0 to 100 Session Score summarizes the current session environment and classifies it as TRADE NORMAL CAUTION or NO TRADE.
Alerts
Session opens, IB breaks, ORB breakouts, London reversals and upcoming high impact news can generate popups, sounds, mobile notifications, or Telegram messages.
Omega Session Clock Indicator Review
Omega Session Clock Indicator focuses on an area that is often overlooked in technical analysis: when the market is trading and what normally happens during that period.
Rather than simply drawing session boxes, the indicator measures historical behavior for each session on the selected symbol and broker data. This includes average ranges, Initial Balance break probabilities, ORB win rates, London reversals and weekday behavior.
The news integration adds another useful layer. Upcoming high impact events are displayed together with historical reaction data, allowing traders to see not only when an event is scheduled but also how the selected symbol has historically reacted to similar releases.
The Session Score provides a simple summary of this information. It considers the amount of the normal session range already used, historical ORB performance and upcoming news before assigning the current tradeability state.
The indicator is also deliberately positioned as a decision support tool rather than an automated trading system. It does not open modify or close trades.

How Does Omega Session Clock Indicator Work?
Session Detection
The indicator checks every closed bar to determine whether it belongs to the Asia London or New York session. When a session begins it records the opening price high and low and starts calculating its session statistics.
Initial Balance Analysis
Initial Balance measures the high and low of the first part of a trading session. With the default 60 minute setting a candle closing above the IB high is treated as an upside break while a close below the IB low is treated as a downside break.
Opening Range Breakout
The Opening Range uses the first 15 minutes by default. After the range is completed the first close outside the range becomes the ORB signal.
The indicator then evaluates whether price reaches the defined ORB target or returns through the opposite side of the range first.
London Reversal Detection
When London opens the indicator records the Asia session high and low. If London moves beyond one of those levels and later closes back inside it the movement is recorded as a London reversal.
Weekday Statistics
Daily candles are used to calculate the average daily range and percentage of bullish days for each weekday. This helps show whether the current weekday has historically been relatively active or quiet.
Economic News Analysis
The news engine checks the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar every 10 minutes. It filters events according to the currencies relevant to the selected symbol and focuses on high impact events by default.
For each upcoming event the indicator also measures historical reactions from previous occurrences of the same event.
Session Score
The Session Score starts at 50 and adjusts according to the percentage of the normal session range already used historical ORB performance and upcoming news.
Scores from 60 to 100 are labelled TRADE, 41 to 59 are NORMAL, and 0 to 40 are CAUTION. During a configured news no trade window the score is forced to 10 and labelled NO TRADE.
Simple BUY and SELL Entry Strategy
For beginners, the Omega Session Clock Indicator can be used with a simple session-based trading approach. The indicator helps identify active market sessions and provides session statistics, Initial Balance, Opening Range Breakout (ORB), London reversal information, and a Session Score. The basic idea is to trade when the session conditions and price direction agree.
BUY Entry
🔹 Step 1: Wait for an active London or New York session shown by the Omega Session Clock Indicator.
🔹 Step 2: Check the Session Score and look for conditions that support a trading environment rather than a caution or no-trade condition.
🔹 Step 3: Identify a bullish setup around the Initial Balance, ORB level, session high/low or nearby support.
🔹 Step 4: Wait for price to break above the relevant level or show a clear bullish rejection, then enter a BUY after the confirmation candle closes.
🔹 Stop Loss: Place the Stop Loss below the recent swing low, session level, or breakout structure used for the entry.
🔹 Take Profit: Target the next session resistance, previous high, liquidity level, or use a predefined risk-to-reward ratio such as 1:2.
SELL Entry
🔹 Step 1: Wait for an active London or New York session shown by the Omega Session Clock Indicator.
🔹 Step 2: Check the Session Score and look for conditions that support a trading environment rather than a caution or no-trade condition.
🔹 Step 3: Identify a bearish setup around the Initial Balance, ORB level, session high/low, or nearby resistance.
🔹 Step 4: Wait for price to break below the relevant level or show a clear bearish rejection, then enter a SELL after the confirmation candle closes.
🔹 Stop Loss: Place the Stop Loss above the recent swing high, session level, or breakout structure used for the entry.
🔹 Take Profit: Target the next session support, previous low, liquidity level, or use a predefined risk-to-reward ratio such as 1:2.

Why Omega Session Clock Indicator Stands Out
Session Statistics Based on the Selected Market
Instead of relying only on generic session behavior, the indicator measures historical statistics using the selected symbol and broker data.
Session Range Awareness
Knowing how much of a session’s typical range has already been consumed provides useful context when evaluating whether additional movement may still be available.
Combined IB and ORB Analysis
Initial Balance and Opening Range Breakout statistics are presented together, giving traders two established session structures to monitor.
London Reversal Tracking
The London reversal module specifically monitors Asia session liquidity levels and records when London sweeps those levels before returning inside.
Integrated News Context
The MT5 economic calendar is connected directly to the indicator, so session analysis and scheduled high impact events appear within the same workspace.
Historical Reaction by Event
The indicator does not simply show a news timestamp. It also measures historical average and maximum reactions together with the percentage of upward reactions and sample size.
Clear Session Score
The 0 to 100 Session Score converts several session conditions into an easy to read TRADE NORMAL CAUTION or NO TRADE state.
Practical Alerts
Alerts allow traders to stay informed about session events and news even when the chart is not being watched continuously.
Risk Management Features
News No Trade Window
The indicator can create a configurable no trade period around relevant economic events. The default is 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after an event.
Session Range Awareness
Average session range statistics can help traders judge whether a market has already completed much of its normal movement before entering a position.
Historical News Reaction
Average and maximum historical reactions provide additional information when planning stops and targets around major economic events.
Session Score Caution State
When the session range is largely used, ORB history is weak, or important news is approaching, the Session Score can move into the CAUTION area.
No Trade State
Inside the configured news window the Session Score is forced to 10 and the dashboard displays NO TRADE. This creates a clear visual warning during the most sensitive event period.
Statistical Sample Awareness
The product recommends treating statistics with fewer than about 20 samples as indicative only. This is important when evaluating session and event statistics.
Recommended Trading Conditions
Omega Session Clock Indicator is designed primarily for M5 and M15 charts.
These timeframes allow session, Initial Balance, Opening Range and news reaction measurements to be calculated with greater precision.
| Trading Style | Timeframe | Suggested Profile | Recommended Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scalping | M5 | MaxBarsCalc 20000 | Session range, ORB and news |

Omega Session Clock Indicator MT5 Settings Panel
🔢 Installation
🔹 Copy the Indicator — Open File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Indicators in MetaTrader 5 and copy the .ex5 indicator file into the folder.
🔹 Refresh Navigator — Right-click Indicators in the Navigator and select Refresh, or restart MetaTrader 5.
🔹 Allow DLL imports — Go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and enable Allow DLL imports. The indicator requires this for the licence check, Telegram functions, and dashboard buttons.
🔹 Attach to Chart — Open the desired chart, with M5 or M15 recommended, and drag Omega Session Clock from the Navigator onto the chart.
🔹 Licence key — Enter the licence key from eafxstore.com into Licence key. If the Dependencies/Common tab is available, also enable Allow DLL imports there.
🔹 Complete Setup — Adjust the inputs and click OK. A successful licence check displays Licence: Licence OK in the Experts/Journal tab.
🔹 Important Time Setting — Session hours use broker server time, shown by the clock in Market Watch, rather than local computer time. Correct session-time configuration is essential.
🔢 General & Licence
🔹 MaxBarsCalc — Default: 3000 — Controls the number of recent chart-timeframe bars processed. 0 uses all available bars. The effective statistics history is limited by MaxBarsCalc and MaxDays, with the smaller limit taking effect. Recommended: 8000–20000 or 0 when more reliable statistics are required.
The default 3000 bars covers only about 31 trading days on M15 and about 10 trading days on M5. Increasing the value may take slightly longer during the first load.
🔹 InpLicenseKey — Default: (empty) — Stores the personal licence key from eafxstore.com. Spaces are removed and letters are converted to uppercase automatically. The licence is checked at startup and approximately every 30 minutes. Recommended: enter the exact licence key provided.
If the server cannot be reached, the indicator normally continues during the 72-hour grace period from the last successful verification.
🔢 Language
🔹 Lang — Default: LANG_EN — Controls the language parameter for compatibility. This version is an English-only build, so all displayed text remains English regardless of the selected value.
🔢 Sessions
All session times are based on broker server time.
🔹 AsiaStart — Default: 0 — Defines the server hour from 0–23 when the Asia session begins.
🔹 AsiaEnd — Default: 8 — Defines the server hour when the Asia session ends. The ending hour is exclusive. If the start hour is greater than the end hour, the session crosses midnight, such as 22 → 6.
🔹 LondonStart — Default: 8 — Defines the server hour when the London session begins. At this time, the indicator stores the Asia high and low used for the London reversal statistic.
🔹 LondonEnd — Default: 16 — Defines the server hour when the London session ends.
🔹 NyStart — Default: 13 — Defines the server hour when the New York session begins. London and New York can overlap, and each session is measured independently.
🔹 NyEnd — Default: 21 — Defines the server hour when the New York session ends.
🔹 IbMinutes — Default: 60 — Defines the length of the Initial Balance from the beginning of each session. Common values are 30 or 60 minutes. Recommended: use a value that is a multiple of the chart timeframe.
🔹 OrbMinutes — Default: 15 — Defines the Opening Range duration. Common values are 5, 15, or 30 minutes. It must cover at least one chart-timeframe bar.
🔹 OrbTargetX — Default: 1.0 — Sets the target multiple used to classify an ORB breakout as a win. The target equals the OR edge plus OrbTargetX multiplied by the OR height in the breakout direction. 1.0 means the target equals one range height. Higher values produce fewer but more meaningful wins.
🔹 MaxDays — Default: 60 — Defines the number of trading days used for session statistics, including range, IB, ORB, and reversal analysis. Weekday statistics can use up to twice this number of D1 candles, with a maximum of 400. The effective history is also limited by MaxBarsCalc.
Session Time Example
For a broker server operating at GMT+2 during winter and GMT+3 during summer, the source provides:
🔹 AsiaStart / AsiaEnd — 2 / 10
🔹 LondonStart / LondonEnd — 10 / 18
🔹 NyStart / NyEnd — 15 / 23
These values are an example for a server clock offset from GMT.
🔢 ATR
🔹 AtrLen — Default: 14 — Defines the ATR calculation period. ATR is used internally so bars are processed only after sufficient ATR data exists, and it also determines the height of shaded news windows around price.
🔢 News & MT5 Economic Calendar
🔹 UseNews — Default: true — Enables or disables economic-calendar functions, including the news list, news lines, no-trade windows, news alerts, and the news penalty used in the Session Score.
🔹 MediumToo — Default: false — Determines whether medium-impact events are included. false includes high-impact events only, while true also includes medium-impact events in the list, chart display, and no-trade window.
🔹 NewsAheadHours — Default: 24 — Defines how many hours ahead the indicator searches for upcoming economic events. It also controls the countdown scale on the Next News dashboard card.
🔹 NewsHistDays — Default: 120 — Defines how many days of historical releases are searched for the same event when calculating average and maximum reactions. The chart must have price history covering this period.
🔹 ReactMinutes — Default: 30 — Defines the number of minutes after a news release used to measure the market reaction, including maximum excursion from the release-bar open and direction at the end of the window. Recommended: use a chart timeframe no larger than this value.
🔹 NoTradeBefore — Default: 15 — Defines how many minutes before an event the no-trade window begins. It also determines the lead time for the news due alert.
🔹 NoTradeAfter — Default: 15 — Defines how many minutes after an event the no-trade window remains active. Events stay in the news list until this period has passed.
🔹 ExtraCurrency — Default: (empty) — Adds an optional extra currency to the economic-calendar filter. Enter a three-letter uppercase code such as USD, EUR, or CNY. The symbol’s base and profit currencies are included automatically.
🔢 Appearance
🔹 Theme — Default: THEME_DARK — Controls the chart colour scheme. THEME_NONE keeps existing colours, while THEME_DARK, THEME_MIDNIGHT, and THEME_LIGHT recolour the background, grid, candles, and bid/ask lines.

🔹 LabelFont — Default: 8 — Controls the font size of chart labels. This setting does not control dashboard text.
🔢 Dashboard
🔹 ShowDash — Default: true — Shows or hides the dashboard panel.
🔹 DashRight — Default: false — Controls whether the dashboard is anchored from the left or right edge of the chart. false places it from the left and true from the right until the panel is manually dragged.
🔹 DashX — Default: 10 — Defines the horizontal dashboard distance from the selected chart edge in pixels.
🔹 DashY — Default: 28 — Defines the vertical dashboard distance from the top of the chart in pixels.
🔹 DashScale — Default: 1.5 — Sets the requested dashboard size. The panel automatically reduces its size when necessary to fit the chart height and uses no more than approximately 45% of chart width.
🔹 DashFontAdj — Default: 1.0 — Fine-tunes dashboard text size within the range 0.8–1.3 without changing the panel size.
🔹 DashMinScale — Default: 1.0 — Defines the minimum dashboard scale. The panel will not shrink below this value even when it no longer fits the chart. Recommended: lower to around 0.7 on small screens or small chart windows.
Dashboard Position
🔹 Drag Dashboard — Hold the left mouse button on the dashboard header and move the panel to the desired location.
🔹 Saved Position — The manually dragged position is saved for that chart and overrides DashRight, DashX, and DashY.
