What is Omega Order Block SMC Indicator?

Omega Order Block SMC is a MetaTrader 5 Smart Money Concepts indicator that automates the core elements of SMC analysis. It identifies internal and swing market structure, Break of Structure and Change of Character events, Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps, Equal Highs and Lows, Strong and Weak swing points and Premium and Discount zones.

The indicator also projects higher timeframe Order Blocks, FVGs and trend information onto the active chart. A live dashboard combines the market information into an SMC Score while popup, push, sound and Telegram alerts help traders monitor important events.

Importantly, Omega Order Block SMC Indicator is an analysis tool rather than an automated trading system. It does not open or manage trades, leaving entry decisions and risk management with the trader.

How Does Omega Order Block SMC Indicator Work?

Volatility and Swing Detection

The indicator begins by calculating ATR and using it as a volatility reference for Fair Value Gap size and Equal High or Equal Low tolerance. It then identifies internal and swing pivots using separate structure lengths.

The default internal structure length is 5 bars, while the default swing structure length is 50 bars. A pivot is only confirmed after the required bars have closed on its right side.

BOS and CHoCH Detection

A structure break occurs when a candle closes beyond the most recent unbroken swing level. A continuation in the existing trend is classified as BOS, while a break against the current trend becomes CHoCH.

Because the system requires a candle close beyond the level, a wick that only passes through a swing level does not qualify as a confirmed structure break.

Order Block Creation

When a structure break occurs, the indicator searches the relevant price range and selects the extreme candle that forms the Order Block. Bullish and bearish Order Blocks are handled separately according to the direction of the break.

The default Body mode defines the zone using the candle body and wick boundary, while Wick mode uses the complete candle range. Tick volume from the Order Block candle is also displayed.

Order Block Mitigation

An Order Block remains active until price invalidates it with a candle close beyond its far edge. Bullish zones are removed after a close below their bottom, while bearish zones are removed after a close above their top.

This automatic mitigation keeps the chart focused on currently relevant zones rather than leaving outdated Order Blocks visible indefinitely.

Fair Value Gap Detection

Omega Order Block SMC identifies three candle Fair Value Gaps and filters them according to a minimum ATR based size. This helps remove very small gaps that may have little practical relevance.

An FVG remains visible for the configured extension period and is considered filled when price reaches its far edge.

Higher Timeframe Analysis

The higher timeframe engine reads completed higher timeframe candles and projects the resulting structure, Order Blocks and FVGs onto the active chart. The default higher timeframe is H4, although several higher timeframe options are available.

Key Features of Omega Order Block SMC Indicator

Internal and Swing Market Structure

The indicator tracks two structure levels independently. Internal structure helps with short term entry timing, while swing structure provides the broader market direction and trend bias.

Automatic BOS and CHoCH

BOS identifies continuation breaks while CHoCH highlights breaks against the existing trend. Swing level CHoCH events are also marked with directional arrows for easier visual interpretation.

Automated Order Blocks

Internal and swing Order Blocks are automatically created after confirmed structure breaks. Only the most recent unmitigated zones are displayed, helping maintain a cleaner chart.

Fair Value Gaps

The indicator detects three candle FVGs and applies ATR based minimum size filtering. Open gaps are displayed until they are filled or reach their configured extension period.

Liquidity Detection

Equal Highs and Equal Lows are identified using ATR based tolerance. Strong and Weak swing points are also classified, helping highlight potential liquidity areas and targets.

Premium and Discount Zones

The current swing range is divided into Premium, Discount and Equilibrium areas. These zones provide a location framework for evaluating whether price is trading in a potentially favorable area for bullish or bearish setups.

Multi Timeframe SMC Zones

Higher timeframe Order Blocks and FVGs are projected onto the active chart as dashed zones. The dashboard also displays higher timeframe trend information and checks whether the current chart direction is aligned with the higher timeframe.

SMC Score Dashboard

The SMC Score combines swing trend, internal trend, higher timeframe trend and price location into a 0 to 100 reading. Scores of 60 or above are bullish, 40 or below are bearish, and values between them are neutral.

Smart Alerts

Alerts can be triggered when swing or internal structure breaks, price enters an Order Block, a new FVG forms or the higher timeframe records a new event. Notifications are available through popup, mobile push, sound and Telegram.

Omega Order Block SMC Indicator Review

Omega Order Block SMC Indicator provides a comprehensive SMC framework inside MetaTrader 5. Instead of manually marking structure, Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps and liquidity areas, the indicator applies consistent rules across charts and timeframes.

Its two-level structure engine is particularly useful for traders who separate broader market direction from short term entry timing. Swing structure establishes the main trend bias, while internal structure can highlight earlier changes within that larger movement.

The Order Block engine is another major component. Zones are created from confirmed structure breaks and remain visible until price invalidates them. This reduces the need to manually remove old zones and keeps attention on unmitigated areas.

Fair Value Gaps add another layer of SMC analysis. Because the indicator uses ATR to filter FVG size, the threshold adapts to the volatility of the selected market and timeframe rather than relying entirely on a fixed price distance.

The higher timeframe engine makes the product suitable for top down analysis. Higher timeframe Order Blocks, FVGs and trend can remain visible while execution is performed on a lower timeframe.

The SMC Score further simplifies the information by combining multiple structural conditions into one reading. However, the score is a summary of market context rather than an independent entry signal.

For traders who already understand SMC or ICT concepts, the main advantage is automation and consistency. For newer traders, the visual structure can also make BOS, CHoCH, Order Blocks, FVGs and liquidity concepts easier to observe on live charts.

Simple BUY and SELL Entry Strategy

For beginners, the Omega Order Block SMC Indicator can be used with a simple order block reaction strategy. The main idea is to identify bullish or bearish Order Blocks, wait for price to return to the zone, and then look for a clear confirmation before entering a trade.

BUY Entry

🔹 Step 1: Identify a bullish Order Block below the current price, preferably one associated with a previous strong upward move.

🔹 Step 2: Wait for price to return to or test the bullish Order Block instead of entering before the zone is reached.

🔹 Step 3: Look for a bullish reaction from the Order Block, such as a strong bullish candle or a break above a nearby short-term high.

🔹 Step 4: Enter a BUY position after the bullish confirmation candle closes.

🔹 Stop Loss: Place the Stop Loss below the bullish Order Block or below the recent swing low.

🔹 Take Profit: Target the next resistance, liquidity area, or bearish Order Block, using a predefined risk-to-reward ratio such as 1:2.

SELL Entry

🔹 Step 1: Identify a bearish Order Block above the current price, preferably one associated with a previous strong downward move.

🔹 Step 2: Wait for price to return to or test the bearish Order Block instead of entering before the zone is reached.

🔹 Step 3: Look for a bearish reaction from the Order Block, such as a strong bearish candle or a break below a nearby short-term low.

🔹 Step 4: Enter a SELL position after the bearish confirmation candle closes.

🔹 Stop Loss: Place the Stop Loss above the bearish Order Block or above the recent swing high.

🔹 Take Profit: Target the next support, liquidity area, or bullish Order Block, using a predefined risk-to-reward ratio such as 1:2.

Simple Entry Rule for Beginners

The basic rule is:

BUY = Bullish Order Block + Price Retest + Bullish Confirmation

SELL = Bearish Order Block + Price Retest + Bearish Confirmation

Avoid entering immediately when an Order Block appears. The zone identifies an area of potential institutional price interest, but it does not automatically guarantee a reversal. Waiting for price to return to the zone and provide a clear reaction can create a more structured entry.

This simple method makes the Omega Order Block SMC Indicator easier for beginners to understand and apply. More advanced traders can later combine Order Blocks with liquidity sweeps, Fair Value Gaps (FVG), Break of Structure (BOS), Change of Character (CHOCH), and higher-timeframe market structure.

Why Omega Order Block SMC Indicator Stands Out

Complete SMC Framework

The indicator brings market structure, Order Blocks, FVGs, liquidity, Premium and Discount zones and higher timeframe analysis into one MT5 tool.

Two Level Structure Analysis

Internal and swing structures are calculated independently, allowing short term market changes to be studied within the context of the broader trend.

Automatic Zone Management

Order Blocks are created after structure breaks and automatically removed when invalidated. FVGs are also removed once filled, keeping the chart focused on active areas.

ATR Adaptive Analysis

ATR is used for FVG sizing and Equal High or Equal Low tolerance, allowing the indicator to adapt its calculations to different volatility conditions across markets.

Higher Timeframe Confluence

Higher timeframe Order Blocks, FVGs and trend are displayed directly on lower timeframe charts, creating a practical top down SMC workflow.

Objective SMC Score

The SMC Score summarizes swing trend, internal trend, higher timeframe direction and price location into a single contextual reading.

Closed Candle Confirmation

Structure breaks and zones are confirmed using closed candles, helping prevent confirmed BOS and CHoCH signals from changing after they are printed.

Cleaner SMC Charts

The indicator limits the number of displayed Order Blocks, FVGs and structure objects while automatically removing invalidated zones. This helps prevent the chart from becoming overloaded with outdated information.

Risk Management Features

Structure Based Confirmation

The indicator provides market structure context before a setup is considered. This can help separate continuation conditions from potential trend changes.

Higher Timeframe Alignment

The dashboard includes a timeframe alignment check, allowing traders to compare the active chart direction with the higher timeframe trend.

Premium and Discount Location

The swing range is divided into Premium, Discount and Equilibrium. The suggested workflow favors bullish setups in Discount and bearish setups in Premium.

Order Block Based Stop Reference

The supplied workflow uses the Order Block as a structural reference and places the stop beyond the Order Block when an internal CHoCH provides the entry trigger.

Liquidity Based Targets

Weak swing highs or lows, Equal Highs and Lows and opposing zones can provide structural target references within the SMC framework.

Closed Candle Processing

The indicator processes the chart through the most recent closed bar and does not use the still forming candle to confirm signals.

Recommended Trading Conditions

Omega Order Block SMC Indicator supports multiple trading styles through different chart and higher timeframe combinations. The recommended approach is to select a higher timeframe roughly 4 to 12 times larger than the active chart timeframe.

Trading Style Chart Timeframe Higher Timeframe Recommended Focus
Scalping M1 to M5 M15 or H1 Internal structure, OBs, FVGs and liquidity
Intraday M15 to H1 H1 or H4 Swing structure and higher timeframe zones
Day or Swing H1 H4 Main trend, OBs and Premium or Discount
Swing or Position H4 D1 Higher timeframe structure and major zones
Daily Analysis D1 OFF Major market structure without a larger timeframe

For scalping, the recommended settings include InternalLen 5, SwingLen 30 to 50, MaxOB 3 and FvgMinATR 0.3 to 0.5.

For intraday trading, InternalLen 5, SwingLen 50, MaxOB 5 and FvgMinATR 0.2 are suggested.

For swing trading, SwingLen can remain around 30 to 50, MaxOB 5 and FvgMinATR 0.1 to 0.2 can be used to retain relevant zones on higher timeframes.

On noisy M1 charts and cryptocurrency markets, the product recommends increasing FvgMinATR and reducing MaxOB to keep only more meaningful zones visible.

Weaknesses and Risk Warnings

It Does Not Place Trades

Omega Order Block SMC Indicator is an analysis tool. It does not automatically open or manage positions, so execution, position sizing and risk management remain outside the indicator.

SMC Concepts Still Require Context

BOS, CHoCH, Order Blocks and FVGs are analytical structures rather than guaranteed trading outcomes. A confirmed zone can still fail when market conditions change.

Higher Timeframe Zones Can Be Delayed

The higher timeframe engine only processes closed higher timeframe candles and updates when a new higher timeframe candle opens. This provides stability but means higher timeframe structure naturally develops more slowly.

Too Many Zones Can Add Noise

Although the indicator limits displayed zones, highly active markets can still produce numerous Order Blocks and FVGs. Increasing FvgMinATR and reducing MaxOB can help maintain a cleaner chart.

Processing History Has a Cost

The default calculation depth is 3,000 bars. Increasing MaxBarsCalc can increase loading and processing time, particularly on lower timeframes with deep historical data.

Trading Risk Remains

Trading Forex, CFDs and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk. Past performance of any trading concept or indicator does not guarantee future results, and proper position sizing remains essential.

Who Should Use Omega Order Block SMC Indicator?

SMC and ICT Traders

Traders already familiar with Smart Money Concepts can use the indicator to automate the visual identification of structure, Order Blocks, FVGs, liquidity and Premium or Discount zones.

Multi Timeframe Traders

The higher timeframe engine makes the indicator suitable for traders who analyze broader market structure before searching for entries on lower timeframes.

Intraday Traders

M15 to H1 charts combined with H1 or H4 higher timeframe analysis provide a practical setup for intraday SMC trading.

Scalpers

M1 to M5 traders can use shorter internal structure settings, fewer displayed Order Blocks and stronger FVG filtering to reduce noise.

Traders Learning SMC

The automatic visual marking of BOS, CHoCH, Order Blocks, FVGs, liquidity and Premium or Discount areas can help newer traders understand how these concepts appear on real charts.

🔢 Structure

🔹 internal structure length [InternalLen] — Default: 5 — Defines the number of bars on each side used to identify internal short-term swing points. Internal breaks are displayed as thin dotted lines and create internal Order Blocks (iOB). Recommended: 5.

🔹 Smaller values such as 3–4 produce more frequent and faster internal signals but also more noise.

🔹 Larger values such as 7–10 produce fewer signals and require later confirmation.

🔹 Cau truc swing / swing structure length [SwingLen] — Default: 50 — Defines the number of bars on each side used to identify major swing points. Swing breaks are displayed as thick solid lines and create swing Order Blocks (OB). Recommended: 50.

🔹 Values around 30–40 make the main structure react faster.

🔹 SwingLen should remain clearly larger than InternalLen.

🔹 SwingLen also determines the minimum historical data required by the indicator.

🔹 internal BOS-CHoCH [ShowInternal] — Default: true — Shows or hides internal BOS and CHoCH lines and labels. Internal structure continues to be calculated even when the drawings are hidden.

🔹 Set to false when a cleaner chart is preferred, especially on higher timeframes.

🔹 Ve BOS/CHoCH swing [ShowSwing] — Default: true — Shows or hides swing BOS and CHoCH lines and labels. Swing structure continues to be calculated when hidden.

🔹 BOS/CHoCH lines kept on chart (0 = unlimited) [MaxBreaks] — Default: 300 — Controls the maximum number of BOS and CHoCH lines retained on the chart. Older lines and labels are removed when the limit is reached. Recommended: 200–500.

🔹 Setting 0 keeps all BOS/CHoCH lines, which can make the chart heavier during long sessions.

🔹 ATR [AtrLen] — Default: 14 — Defines the Average True Range period used as a volatility reference for minimum FVG size, Equal High/Low tolerance, higher-timeframe FVGs, and dashboard proximity calculations. Recommended: 14.

🔢 Order Block

🔹 An Order Block is created when market structure breaks. For a bullish break, the indicator identifies the candle with the lowest low between the previous swing low and the breaking candle.

🔹 For a bearish break, the indicator identifies the candle with the highest high between the previous swing high and the breaking candle.

🔹 An Order Block is removed when a candle closes beyond its far edge.

🔹 OB noi / internal OB [ShowIntOB] — Default: true — Shows Order Blocks created by internal structure breaks. They are labelled iOB and use a darker colour. Recommended: true for lower-timeframe precision entries.

🔹 Set to false when the chart becomes crowded and only swing Order Blocks are required.

🔹 OB swing [ShowSwingOB] — Default: true — Shows Order Blocks created by major swing breaks. They are labelled OB and use a brighter colour. These represent the more significant Order Block zones.

🔹 OBs shown per type & side [MaxOB] — Default: 5 — Controls how many recent unmitigated Order Blocks are displayed for each type and direction. With 5, up to 20 boxes can appear on the chart. Recommended: 3 for scalping and 5 for other styles.

🔹 This setting affects only the visual display. All Order Blocks continue to be tracked internally.

🔹 wick or body (false) [OBUseWick] — Default: false — Controls whether Order Blocks use the candle body or the complete wick range.

🔹 false uses body mode, creating tighter Order Block zones.

🔹 true uses wick mode, covering the complete candle range and creating wider zones.

🔹 Recommended: false for more precise entries; true when price frequently wicks through Order Block zones.

🔢 Zones

🔹 Fair Value Gap [ShowFVG] — Default: true — Detects and draws three-candle Fair Value Gaps. A bullish FVG occurs when candle 3 low is above candle 1 high and candle 2 closes above that high, with the opposite condition for bearish FVGs.

🔹 An FVG is removed when price touches its far edge.

🔹 Up to 12 recent open FVGs are displayed.

🔹 min FVG size (xATR) [FvgMinATR] — Default: 0.2 — Defines the minimum FVG size as a multiple of ATR. For example, with an ATR of 10 pips and a value of 0.2, only gaps of at least 2 pips are retained. Recommended: 0.3–0.5 on M1–M5 or volatile symbols; 0.1–0.2 on H4–D1.

🔹 Higher values produce fewer but larger FVGs.

🔹 Lower values detect more and smaller FVGs.

🔹 The setting also applies to higher-timeframe FVGs.

🔹 extension bars [FvgExtend] — Default: 30 — Controls how many bars to the right an FVG box is extended. FVGs older than 4 × FvgExtend are no longer displayed even if they remain open. Recommended: 20–50.

🔹 Equal highs / lows [ShowEQ] — Default: true — Detects and marks Equal Highs (EQH) and Equal Lows (EQL). These are swing points located at nearly the same price and are displayed as dotted lines.

🔹 EQH/EQL levels can act as liquidity pools. A line is removed when a candle closes beyond it.

🔹 tolerance EQH/EQL (xATR) [EqTolATR] — Default: 0.1 — Defines the maximum price difference between two swing points for them to qualify as equal. Recommended: 0.1.

🔹 Increasing the value to around 0.15–0.25 detects more equal levels.

🔹 Reducing it to 0.05 requires a much closer price match.

🔹 Strong / Weak High-Low [ShowStrongWeak] — Default: true — Labels current swing highs and lows as Strong or Weak according to the current trend.

🔹 In a bullish trend, the swing low is Strong and the swing high is Weak.

🔹 In a bearish trend, the swing high is Strong and the swing low is Weak.

🔹 Weak points are typical price targets, while strong points are typical stop locations.

🔹 Premium / Discount zones [ShowPD] — Default: true — Draws the Premium zone, Discount zone, and Equilibrium line at 50% of the swing range.

🔹 The dashboard continues to display the price position inside the range even when the visual zones are disabled.

🔢 Multi-Timeframe

🔹 The indicator can overlay higher-timeframe Order Blocks, FVGs, and trend information onto the current chart.

🔹 HTF zones are displayed as dashed boxes, with blue representing bullish zones and orange representing bearish zones.

🔹 Only closed higher-timeframe candles are used.

🔹 Higher-timeframe structure uses a fixed pivot length of 5 HTF bars.

🔹 Khung lon / higher timeframe (OFF = off) [MtfPeriod] — Default: MTF_H4 — Selects the higher timeframe used for HTF Order Blocks, FVGs, and trend information.

🔹 Available values are MTF_OFF, MTF_M15, MTF_M30, MTF_H1, MTF_H4, and MTF_D1.

🔹 The selected timeframe must be higher than the current chart timeframe. For example, selecting H1 on an H4 chart has no effect.

🔹 Recommended combinations: M1–M5 → M15/H1; M15 → H1/H4; H1 → H4; H4 → D1; D1 → OFF.

🔹 MTF_OFF also removes the higher-timeframe component from the SMC Score.

🔹 HTF bars [MtfBars] — Default: 300 — Defines how many higher-timeframe bars are analysed. At least 30 bars are required. Recommended: 200–500.

🔹 Higher values allow older HTF zones to be detected but require slightly more processing when a new HTF candle opens.

🔹 HTF OBs per side [MtfMaxOB] — Default: 3 — Defines the maximum number of higher-timeframe Order Blocks displayed on each side, bullish and bearish. Recommended: 2–3.

🔹 HTF FVGs are not limited by this setting.

🔹 HTF FVG [MtfFVG] — Default: true — Enables higher-timeframe Fair Value Gap detection and drawing.

🔹 Set to false when only higher-timeframe Order Blocks are required.

🔢 Appearance

🔹 Giao dien chart / Chart theme [Theme] — Default: THEME_DARK — Controls the chart background, grid, candles, and price-line colours.

🔹 THEME_NONE keeps the existing chart colours.

🔹 THEME_DARK uses a dark grey theme.

🔹 THEME_MIDNIGHT uses a deep navy theme.

🔹 THEME_LIGHT uses a white background with a grid.

🔹 The theme also switches the chart to candlesticks and hides period separators.

🔹 Recommended: THEME_DARK or THEME_MIDNIGHT for the intended zone colour contrast.

🔹 Restore colors on remove [RestoreTheme] — Default: true — Restores the chart colours that were active before the indicator was attached. Recommended: true.

🔹 Set to false if the applied theme should remain after removing the indicator.

🔹 font size [LabelFont] — Default: 8 — Controls the size of chart labels including BOS, CHoCH, OB, FVG, EQH/EQL, Strong/Weak, and Premium/Discount labels. Recommended: 8; use 9–10 on high-resolution screens.

🔢 Dashboard

🔹 Show dashboard [ShowDash] — Default: true — Shows or hides the information panel. Chart drawings and alerts continue working when the panel is hidden.

🔹 Anchor right (false = left) [DashRight] — Default: false — Places the dashboard from the left edge when false or from the right edge when true.

🔹 X offset (px) [DashX] — Default: 10 — Controls the horizontal distance from the selected chart edge.

🔹 Y offset (px) [DashY] — Default: 28 — Controls the vertical distance from the top of the chart.

🔹 ratio panel / Panel scale (tu co khi chart nho) [DashScale] — Default: 1.5 — Controls the dashboard size. 1.0 is the base size and 1.5 is 50% larger. The panel automatically shrinks on small charts. Recommended: 1.2–1.5 on Full HD, 1.5–2.0 on 4K, and 1.0 when several charts are tiled.

🔹 The panel automatically stays within approximately 45% of the chart width and available chart height, with a minimum scale of 0.55.

🔹 Font adjust (0.8 – 1.3) [DashFontAdj] — Default: 1.0 — Adjusts dashboard text size without changing its layout. Recommended: 0.9 when text looks crowded or 1.1–1.2 when text looks too small.

🔹 Move Dashboard — Click and hold the dashboard header, then drag it to the desired position.

🔹 The manually selected position is remembered for that chart, even after restarting MetaTrader 5.

🔹 After manually moving the dashboard, DashRight, DashX, and DashY are ignored for that chart.

🔹 To restore the input-based position, open F3 → Global Variables and delete variables beginning with OMSMC_DASH.

🔢 Alerts

🔹 Alerts are divided into channels and events. An enabled event is delivered through every enabled alert channel.

🔹 Alerts are generated only for live closed bars and are not triggered for historical events when the indicator loads.

⚙️ Alert Channels

🔹 Popup [AlertPopup] — Default: true — Displays the standard MetaTrader alert window with a sound.

🔹 Push notification (MetaQuotes ID) [AlertPush] — Default: false — Sends alerts to the MetaTrader mobile application. The MetaQuotes ID must be configured under Tools → Options → Notifications. Recommended: true when mobile alerts are required.
